The Front Porch Over Run by Technology

The Front Porch was a interesting piece of writing about a observation I'm betting not to many people have made. This article was more than just a bunch of complaining on how there are no more front porches. It is very true that with the technology today, garages are alot more use full then a front porch. Garages allow people to store junk they may or may not need. My opinion is that this is a new generation and that those front porches he misses so much are a part of his past. Not everything is going to stay the same when people are looking to expand from old ideas. Sure it's nice to have a place to stand and talk about the good times, but today people go out to restaurants and talk while watching TV inside. People may not be taking in the fresh air on their porches, but they are getting plenty of it on the go. In this generation people are constantly doing things and don't have time to have a porch and talk, that is what they use cellphones for when they are at little Billy's football practice. So, I'm sorry a part of his past is gone, but we all have them and it just so happens that in this day and age people are more about that new fresh idea.
